    Greetings:

    I need to know how to resolve the backup problem on my device.

    The message is "There was an error writing to a file" while the upper progress bar shows "Phone Call Logs"and the lower progress bar shows "Organizing Databases"

    I always have backup problems.. Under Backup in DM, Do the advanced... Clear our the data cache... Then try the backup again.

    Thanks!!!

    It is a very weird issue. Also I have an Bold user that the backup error appears while backing up the "Email Filters - all" which its hidden and cant be cleared...

    Any ideas?

    In most cases, the error can be dealt with on the device, but there are some databases that are not directly accessable.

    Connect your BlackBerry and use Advanced Restore. Your current data base will be previewed in the right window, select and clear the offending data.

    Thanks Reed...but that's the problem. Even I see which database its generating the error I can not selected because its grey-out.
