    I downloaded the new OS and I can't stand the dim and brighten feature. I set it to off and it didn't. How do i fix this problem. Do i try to upgrade the OS again or what do I do its driving me crazy!!

    There is also a sensor at the top, do you notice it brightens in dimmer areas?
    Put your hand over the top where the LED is, it should then brighten up, when you take it away, dim a lil more

    it gets dim in dark areas and brighter in bright areas i dont want it to do this at all i want it to stay BRIGHT

    okay so your telling me that the old os sys worked with the off button but now they made the new os overrides that and it will always dim

    Then you figure it out.

    The sensor light has a mind of its own, it dims and brightens.. but... since thats not the answer you wanna hear..

    yes it brighten and dims on its own, there is also an OFF switch to that it doesnt do that and i had it set that way on my old os but the new os doesnt accept the fact that i set it to off

    i have the newest os, and when i switch the autodim to off, it stops, so i have no idea whats happening with yours if youve done a battery pull.

    It something that happens on some curves is all I can say..... Mine will always stay lit bright and never dims - ever.... Friends in the same conditions OFF will dim all it wants. No idea why it happens but it does......... Same answer as yesterday...

    Here's the deal, the backlight will dim whenever it wants to, no matter what settings you put it to. I spoke with Forums Moderatror, Reed McLay many times on this, lots of others will say the same thing. Believe what you want...

    Told the op this yesterday - it will do what it wants....hehe. I suggested that the op read a few sections in the lecture series on app installs (seperate question) to which the reply was I dont wanna read anything........ Go figure....

    My phone does the exact same thing. Automatically dims although that feature is set to off. I can't stand it. I like brightness all the time.

    chill out dude your sensor is bad had the same thing on my curve and the sensor was bad replaced the phone and no more problem
