I've had a problem with the backlight on my 8330. As I have grown older, I need the keyboard to light when I began typing. However, it lights automatically and I believe it is based on some type of light sensor.

That is fine except at dusk I cannot see the keys and my beloved BlackBerry becomes unusable. Does anyone know how to cause the backlight on the keyboard to light on command? Thanks!

Go to options then screen and keybored and there you can turn off the ambient light sensor. I reccommend turning you manually adjust your backlight to conserve battery since the light sensor wil be off

Oh yeah the option that you will switch off is called "automatically dim backlight" and the ambient light sensor is located where the LED's are fyi
