The storm takes a lot longer than my curve. I had one before I got this golden phone

What OS is your Storm on? I noticed that on .75 it did take a while. I'm on .122 now and it seems to have speeded up but its definitely quicker than my Curve.

My Bold is much faster than my Pearl was, but it's still sloooooooow. Think 2-3 minutes instead of 3-4. At least 5.0 added a boot up progress bar, so you're not just stuck staring at an hourglass.
Just tested a little while ago. Took 3 min 24 sec. Hmmm. I'm thinkin it probably has to do with the number of 3rd party applications downloaded to the phone (Themes, few games, Vlingo, iheart, WSJ, BB app world, a weather app, etc.) The more memory you chew up, the longer it takes to reboot. Is this an acurate statement?

I think that's accurate.
I just got my bb curve so I don't have a lot of apps, and only have one downloaded theme...it only takes me about 1 1/2 minutes to reboot.
Probably about 4 min. But I have like 14 3rd party apps so it makes sense I suppose. Doesn't bother me too much. My storm way way faster though...probably a minute or less
I have about 5 third party apps and it takes me about 2 1/2 minutes to start up. I would throw my phone out the window too if it took 4-5 minutes to start up lol
