I clicked on my Icon for Personal Email. I went the trough the steps and setup my non blackberry email.. Ok what i didn not realize was that its now checking my email all the time. Not only when i login to something like i thought. I do not have a data plan so as you can imagine.. THis is not good... I can not figure out how to deactivate this service. My only though was to disable the DATA feature in my network.. Can anyone tell me how to turn off email? I even went into desktop manager thinking i could remove it, but the email portion ws not listed in my menu of removable programs? I have an 8300 and im using the latest OS... Please help

Go back to the email setup, log in, click on Email Accounts, and delete the email address from there.

There's no option to check the email only when you want it. It's all or nothing.
