I'm a newbie and can't post a link. Search for "Boost volume of MP3 playback on 8830" in title. There is a free software solution that works faily well for .mp3 files.
Impedance mismatch seems to be a reasonable problem. My Sennheisser phones are terrible with the Curve - low volume and flat. The ear buds that came with are quite loud.
Correct - as well as the speaker efficiency.........some drivers reproduce music at higher db's than others because the are more efficient speakers......the VMODA line is extremely efficient and have hella loud volume......
