what actually happens when you "retrieve" an attachment on your blackberry? is it saved somewhere, like a temporary folder?

Im assuming you are talking about "retrieving an attachment" from an email. If this is the case, after opening it, you have to press the menu key and save image. Then you can decide where to save the file! Hope this helps!

IF its coming from your email, its saved temporarily in your email account, not on your phone. Your just viewing the attachment from your email.
