I work with a guy that had a Blackberry Pearl but got rid of it. He has been getting letters in the mail from Asurion. The letter states that a group of batteries that have the Blackberry logo on them are counterfit and that the real batteries have a code on it something like EC or EW I dont remember? But it also stated that if he did not have the phone pass the letter along to another blackberry user. The recall said that these batteries have a chance of overheating? Anyone ever hear of this? I figure if the battery has the Blackberry logo on it that would be the right battery.
