- Very new and very clueless here... On my Q i could assign keys to open up a new text to a certain person instead of assigning the key to make a call to a certain person... anyone have a clue how to do that on my curve?!
Also I when typing on my curve i think i had true-type where when i started a word it would list several words i could choose from to lessen the keystrokes i had to take for some of the longer more common words. i have not found that anywhere on the curve?!
OH, one other thing that i am sure can't be changed, but figure it doesn't hurt to ask -- on the Q i could type forever on a text and in the end it sometimes sent 2 or 3 texts... with the curve after 160 characters you are done. can u make it send multiple and not cut u off?!
anyone out there that might be able to help me on these issues?! I like my curve, but it seems there are several different ways that i like my q better?!
Thank you for reading and for offering any info you might have!04-09-09 02:23 PMLike 0 - 1) QSMS is another option. Won't do exactly what you are looking for but will set the "Q" key as a keyboard shortcut for composing an SMS.
2) Yeah, there's no TrueType or SureType on the Curve. Look into Autotext
3) Not on the Verizon 8330. Verizon doesn't support it.04-09-09 05:20 PMLike 0 - 04-09-09 08:38 PMLike 0

i don't know anything about auto text, but i will have to look into that one for sure!
u'd think that for such a 'smartphone' it would be able to do these simple things so easily!!! thanx for the help!04-09-09 08:41 PMLike 0 -

Please do read through the BlackBerry 101 section. You will find a lot of answers there.04-09-09 11:15 PMLike 0 - Thanx!
I have figured out the auto text and that is pretty cool!
When i first got the phone I read some and went through some of their 'lectures' on 101. I will continue to read and see what else i can get out of it!
I still don't get why the 'smartphone' doesn't do the simple things that other 'dumb phones' seem to do! but, i know it does a lot of other things that the dumb ones don't! ugh.
Thanx for all of your help!04-10-09 11:35 AMLike 0
