    my fiance and I both have Red Blackberry Curve's (8310). They are both brand new. One has a white tracker ball and the other has a black one. Why is this?

    Just a guess. But it sounds like the backlight on one of them is not working.

    At first I was like huh, but yeah, it seems as if you either got a defecto or you may have turned the light off.

    Is turning the trackball light off even possible?

    i definetly got a defecto. returned it today and exchanged it for a titanium one.
