SPAM is usually defined as mail that was not requested by the recipient.

If you are getting SPAM in your Outlook mail box, you will soon see it delivered to your device.

How do spammers find your address? Any time it is posted in a public place, like a forum, programs are searching the web for a combination of characters separated by the @. Once harvested, they are sold around the World to SPAMMERS.

You have a couple of options. First and most effective, choose a new email address and keep it private. Only those on your contact list should get the new address.

The second option is to use a filter to weed out email from any source, other then your approved contact list.

The good news is, there are no active virus that can infect a BlackBerry or a BES server. The bad news is, it is possible to build such a Trojan program.
