Wow so lately whenever I send a text message it takes a whopping 8 seconds to return to the inbox view of my texts. That is ridiculous what is going on?

do you have a ton of texts in your messages, or do the texts that you are sending have a bunch of replies attached to them?

do a battery pull, phone on yank the battery out and replace in 30 seconds. then see if you can send a test text to see if that helps

    Sorry about About.

Ok, so it isn't low memory. That's good.

What kind of applications are you running? Viigo, Facebook?

How do I delete only a certain # of the texts? Like for example I'd like to delete everything except for the messages from this year.

Also, idk how to close applications. For example, I open Opera. I exit. Later, I open Facebook, I exit. Then I go to main menu and switch applications button, and all the applications I've opened in the past (or at least since I've last restarted) are there. How do you complete exit an app?

EDIT: Ya, 1170 SMS for 359K, 120 Messages for 38.2k

To properly close an app, Menu, Exit/Close.

That is why your Curve is slow. You've got stuff running in the background in device memory.

To delete everything older than a certain date, place the cursor on that date, press Menu, select Delete Prior, confirm delete.

Also, from Home screen, hold down the Alt key and press LGLG. Menu, Delete.

    Thank you.

I just did the menu exit/close thing for applications but that didn't anything. It is still listed when I click switch applications.

There will always be 5 apps in the App Switcher (Phone, BBM, Browser, Home, Messages).

So it just has the 5 most recent whatsoever?

Anyways, thanks for all the help. Hopefully tomorrow I'll notice the lack of lag.

No, those 5 are always running on your BB. Anything else shouldn't be there unless you purposely have it running to multitask.
