I have a alpine cda-9886 headunit with a BB 8330. I am trying to play my mp3 files from my BB to my alpine via the usb from the back of the head unit to the mini usb port on the BB. It keeps saying device error when they are connected. Mass media is on and the HU is switched to usb. I want this to work so bad. I have been to verizon and best buy and no one knows, go figure. I hope someone else has the answer. Thanks!

According to verizon tech suppost they say they do not recommend using the BB as a mp3 player to connect to the car head unit. I was under the impression that it was possible. Is anyone using this method?
