all messed up and it isn't even a week old yet.

i have 2 puppies. sweetie, the oldest, has put her razor sharp paw pads on my screen so it is all scratched up and diablo, the baby, has chewed on the bottom right corner

    so my question is:

do i leave it alone, just like it is with scratches and teeth marks?

or do i try to get it fixed?

and if the latter, how would i go about fixing it?

You can try to fix it but you either A) have to send it off someplace or B) order the parts, take it apart and fix it yourself.

    Oo, that's pretty rough.
Well, first thing's first, the store's not going to take it back because chewing puppies aren't going to be covered on the warranty.

You can try searching for new parts here.

You could leave it alone if you wanted; it's your decision on what you can pull out of your pocket.

Fix it yourself it will be cheaper and it is not that hard to do.

If you are willing to dish out $50 it is considered physical damage.

It's kind of like when your kid chews on something.... You get to think of their cute little mugs every time you look at your phone

I would most likely choose this option since I am lazy and wouldn't want to fix it myself.

If you decide to order from here, just an FYI, this site is located in Hong Kong. Cheapest shipping is $5.00 and takes approx 2 weeks to arrive. Many of us have ordered from this site, but if you're in a hurry, there are some sites here in the U.S. but I dont have the name in front of me right now.

Somebody chime in with some local sites.

Insurance claim. Just report it lost and pay the deductible for a new or refurby phone.

Its sounds like you need to replace your faceplate. Do that then put on the invisible shield and snap your berry into a Seidio Hard case. That should do it. Faceplate costs 30$. Hardcase 30$

I agree with Calderon... Claim it as lost/stolen and pay the $50. Then put it in an DOG PROOF case...or get rid of the puppies.

That is a good possibility, but:

    1) If you claim it lost, never try to use or sell the device again because they disable it... and if it comes up as being used then they suspect that you lied when you said it was lost

    2) If you report it STOLEN (bad idea!!) then you need a police report for the service provider and you better not use it ever again!! (they usually just deactivate it though)
