I have a Sprint BB 8330 and when I connect any aftermarket headphones the volume is much lower than what I get when I hook up the headphones with the mic that my BB came with.

Is this normal? Can I make the volume normal with some kind of adapter?

Anyone else notice this or have a solution?

    Thanks!

That sounds like your headphones are having issues - or they are just made to be quieter. The phone does not limit the volume at all per headphones.

Headphone volume is dependent on the ohms value. Most consumer headphones run from 2 to 8 ohms. Commercial headphones for studio applications can run up to 220 ohms for compatibility with recording consoles. In other words the aftermarket ones your trying to use are not optimized for use with a bb. The best headphones I have found to use with my bb are cheap $10 Phillips with the over the ear clip holders. There is also the audio boost and EQ options in your bbs menu. With the music folder open select, Menu/Options. Good luck.
