I have 3700 contacts in my Curve, and am getting worried it won't hold many more. I sync every other day with my outlook. Free memory shows 25meg.
Should I stop adding contacts, stop working, and get a life, or keep booking along?

I dont think you should see any problems, your free memory is pretty high, which is good.
3700 contacts is quite a number of contacts...do you really need that many?
