My colleges email is now google based as of 6 months ago or so.

I had my email all set up on my phone, but my school makes you change your user password every 3 months or so for safety reasons.

    Here's my problem:

I tried to simply edit my email and change the password...didn't work.
So I went back and deleted the email completely and tried to start over.

I entered my email :[email protected]
    username: tua00000
    password: ...........
    and server: imap.gmail.com

I also have IMAP enabled in settings on gmail.

when i press OKAY it says processing and then tells me that some of the information is wrong - it clearly is not at all, at least not my login info.

Any reason this would be happening?

Shouldn't your IMAP username be your complete email address? How will gmail's IMAP server know if you are logging in as tua00000@gmail@com or [email protected]?

It asks for my full email and the username, the username is not supposed to include the @temple.edu.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

easier fix -- look into it -- have your temple.edu email forwarded to your gmail address. Then just set up your phone with this gmail address.

Most school emails can be internally set to forward t o a different address.

That's what I did, had my college email forwarded to gmail. Much easier to check eveything from one place.
