I just downloaded the latest version on CrackMem because I just got my phone and I wanted to get rid of things I don't use...IE Facebook, Myspace.

Is there anything I should know/do before running this?

If thats all you are doing I wouldn't use CrackMem if you don't know much about it. Just removed the apps or hide the icons.

It won't get rid of FB. That's a shortcut on your phone pushed to you by your carrier. Deleting the service book is only a temp solution. Hiding it is your best option.

If those are sent by service books, you wont be able to remove them, just hide the icons, out of sight out of mind. If the icons are on your screen, but not in the app list, they are service books, deleting them doesnt do any good, each time youo send the service books they reappear, so best bet is to hid them.

I just installed it and read the Help file and I was mistaken on what CrackMem does. After reading it, I still would like to do it to remove those memory hogs like the videos and pictures.

I just don't want to mess something up on my new phone...lol

You can remove the sample vid ujnder the application list, you dont need crackmem for that. You can however use crackmem to remove the preloaded wallpaper.

    Thanks Rach.

Also, I don't want to upgrade my OS, just get rid of some things. How do I get my current OS, 4.3.0.127, on CrackMem?

I will when it's official. I never feel comfortable with BETA versions or versions that aren't carrier specific.
