I can't decide between the two. I was looking at the new Tour, but i realized that the one thing I hate about BB is the trackball. I've had plenty of issues with my 8330 and the trackball so that's why I was looking at the new Curve which doesn't have a track ball and obviously the Storm 2 doesn't either. I've heard really bad things about the original storm but wonder if the new one is better.
Wait for the Tour 2 if you can wait up to a month. The release date was rumored to be feb 3, so its just getting pushed back .....but all indicators point to soon
I upgraded from an 8330 to the 8530 and I can definitely say I'm not disappointed. Like you, I really didn't like the idea of a trackball I couldn't easily remove & clean or replace. I've never tried the Storm2, but the 8530 is a really stable upgrade with a good keyboard. Good luck choosing.
