I used crackmem and removed VAD along with some other themes, freed up a lot of memory, but now when I try to look at my about tab under options nothing happens. I read that removing VAD will cause that, but I also read that you can view the info by pressing in some other keys-now I can't find the post. Does anyone know what keys need to be pressed to view about info.
    Thanks for the help,

Removing VAD does disable the about screen. Just press ALT+CAPS LOCK+H to access this info.

Is there a way to remove voicedialing if it doesnt show up in my applications list? Or the DM app list on my computer?

Download and install the CrackMem program in my signature.
That will be the easiest way. Instructions and the zip file are
    in the first post.

Yeah, Ive had it on my computer for a while.. but can I pick and choose what I want to take off it with crackmem? or does it wipe the device and I reload the entire OS?

You get a list on the right side and you can remove any of the
modules you don't want. It works very very fast. Once it's done
simply open DM, connect your phone, click Application Loader
and "next" your way to finish. DM will show you what is being removed.

It will only wipe the phone if you select that option, which in this
case you don't need to do.

Hmm do I have to do a battery pull, as I can still select the about section after removing (I think) the voice dialing..

You can remove and reinstall components at will with Crackmem. That's what I originally used it for. Imagine my surprise when Pete6 said that was a bonus feature that someone stumbled upon, and that he designed it as an install tool.

Couldn't hurt. If you still have "ABOUT" after the reboot you may want to check
to see if the VAD module is still present.

Options > Advanced options > applications > press menu and then Modules

Scroll down and see if you see "net_rim_vad" It is way down the list.

Or just try running the program.

I'd try re-running CrackMem, maybe you missed a step.

And before clicking Finish, make sure it is in the list in DM
