Hello All... Hoping somebody can help me fix a problem. The mass storage mode on my girlfriend's curve doesn't work.

    In Windows (7 - 64 bit), I have a "Removable Disk ( F: )", but I get "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk ( F: )." when I double click on it. I don't get a AutoPlay promt.

To add, my bold 9000 works (5.0.0.822), and has worked on all previous versions. My Dad's pearl flip (uses same cable as my girlfriend's 8530) also works.

    So here are the details...

    Curve 8530
    5.0.0.654
    Settings -> Memory
    Compression: Disabled
    Media Card Support: On
    Media Transfer Protocol: On
    Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: Yes

I tried the KB19717 fix, the PinStack hahanew.exe fix, updated BB Desktop Manager, and the Roxio Media Manager for BB Desktop.

In BB Desktop Manager, I get "Mass storage is not available" under the "Media", "Pictures", "Videos" categories in "MEDIA SYNC".

When I load BlackBerry Media Sync, I get

"Your device is not recognized by BlackBerry Media Sync. Please check that:
    1. a media card is installed correctly in your BlackBerry device
    2. mass storage mode is turned on for your BlackBerry device"

So far, NOTHING has worked. Suggestions?

Edit: Ignore the # of posts, I've been around BB's enough (going back 4 years) to not be a newbie.

I'd look into Windows settings - sounds like a plug'n'pray issue. Also, I have MTP set to off and mine's never had an issue being seen on any of my systems.

    Desktop: Win7 32-bit, Win7 64-bit, Ubuntu 64-bit with XP Pro SP3 in vbox, using DM5 and then 6.

Laptop: Win7 64-bit and Kubuntu 64-bit, using DM5 and then 6 as well, also worked when it had Vista 64-bit.

Netbook: Win7 Starter and Ubuntu 64-bit, no DM but still recognizes my device.
