I recently had my blackberry 8330 wet and so I left it last night in uncooked rice. I thought the phone would be dry by now so I put the battery back in, the red LED would turn on for around 15 seconds and then turn off sometimes to a faint green LED, while at the same time the flash stayed on all the time even after the red LED light turns off. Only after i take the battery out does it turn off< it would also flicker every so often.
So my question is will this phone still survive after a few days in uncooked rice? Or is it basically dead?

All you can do is try. It sounds like it isn't fully dried out yet. Put it back in the rice and let it dry longer, with the battery out, and see what happens. You've nothing to lose.

Oh and why would you spray WD-40 on it? Its oil based which doesn't mix with water anyway. Plus it doesn't dry itself.

WD-40 displaces water (hence the WD - water displacer) in the name. That's what it was designed for originally.

Some people have had good success with it in situations like this and others have not.
