I installed the software update 4.5.0.131 and am now having a delay from when I press a button to when the screen lights up. This delay seems to vary between one to three seconds. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have noticed that if you delete your event log frequently the back light lag doesn't seem to happen as much.

    Where's this "event log"?

I too have noticed this with pushing the track ball however hitting the space bar doesn't have the screen wake lag. Weird, I know.

I noticed a problem with BBAlerts with 131, so I downgraded to .89.

Hit your space bar to wake it up.. There's no lag. The trackball lag is a known issue.

I never wake my phone with the track ball, I always press the end key or the menu key or the space bar but even then I will occasionally have the back light lag.

I too have been using the space bar. Hitting the space bar is a small price to pay for no speaker blast. Plus I think the OS is a bit snappier.
