I have a unique problem occurring whenever I boot my 8330 from a battery pull. As the phone goes through the entire boot process, the screen works - it glows white and shows the spinning timer.

As soon as the software boots and the "verifying security software" bars crosses, the screen shuts off. Sounds of incoming messages still play, but none of the buttons can turn the screen back on.

Does anyone have any idea about how I can fix this problem? It seems like something had gotten on the keyboard as I cooked Thanksgiving dinner - and the clicking the trackball in cued up the # key. I removed the battery, cleaned the ball, and let it dry for a few hours after giving it the once over with the hairdryer. (this same issue had happened in the past, and the above method had fixed it.)

Any help would be much appreciated. I have an upgrade ready to go, but I was holding out for the Essex.
