I just replaced my phone and got a 8330 through Verizon, but I can't get MP3's to play from the SD card. The phone has 4.5.0.77 firmware if that makes a difference...
Originally I copied some MP3's to the music folder on the card and the titles show up in the media player, but they all show as being 0:00 long. I figured the phone might not like that I formatted the card on a PC, so I formatted the card in the phone, recopied the MP3's over, and got the same thing. I also tried pulling the battery to see if that would help, which it didn't.
The bitrate of the MP3's ranges from 128 to 320, and the sampling rate is 44100. There isn't any DRM on the files, and they play perfectly on other phones and computers...
