BES? You're talking to a real novice in the world of BB and other technology.

Is it a work issued phone, or is it your own personal one..

Did you buy the bb at a store? Or was it supplied by your employer? You said it was your own personal - but to clarify - who bought the phone?

It might have something to do with the way they have it on tier server.. who knows, I dont hae to enter a password, and I use outlook also, so you may want to talk to your IT dude there.. im thinking a security feature though. I could and probably am wrong.

Then you're on BIS - the difference is "BlackBerry Internet Service" or BES - "Blackberry Enterprise Service".

You can search the forums for a more detailed explanation of what the difference is. I was thinking you were on BES and your employer enabled the security.

Since you're BIS - I'm stumped. I'd go the the BIS web site and check your settings there. I don't know your carrier or the website. But just go to Blackberry.com and look for a link on tha page. It's the PC version of the "set up wizard" page but it allows you to set and change passwords and other things.

Sorry to not have the link handy. Anyone out there can post the link?

Had to re-enter the password again this morning... Haven't received the first bill yet, so I'm not sure. Buddy I work with has a Nextel BB and and is set up on our email as well, but does not have the same problem.

Thanks for the help by the way.
