Hey guys, trying to fix this for a family member...

I've been reading for a couple of days and have managed to get the app loader to load and put the blackberry in computer mode.

Not having a backup or OS file (MetroPCS is worthless) I went ahead and download the SprintOS 8330AMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel311_PL3.4.0.59_A4.5.0.186_Spr int_L.P.

I installed it and deleted the vendor file as instructed

However, after the loader connects to the phone it is telling me that there is no software installed for my phone...I'm totally lost and have no idea what to do next. Maybe the sprint software is just not compatible? Maybe I need to modify the device xml file?

I appologize in advance for the ignorance and I am posting because I honestly can't find any more information. Thank you all for your assistance
