This has probably been answered before but I can't find it. I currently have a 8330 with Alltel running 4.2 OS is it worth upgrading to 4.5? What would I see as differences. Using bb mostly for email,mms,Pandora, some pictures and video taking on occasion.

Yes it has.
With 4.5 you get GPS unlocked for BB Maps, HTML email (pretty nice since email is a priority for you), and Docs To Go standard version.
You also get a much improved browser, a lot more free memory (no preloaded wallpaper), and a video camera app.
A note regarding GPS on Alltel. You must be on an OS version higher than 4.5.0.127 for GPS to work. So 4.5.0.127 doesn't work, but 4.5.0.131/4.5.0.138 works.
Correct, if you upgrade to an alltel 4.5 os your gps will be locked unless you install and pay for telenav.
