I am giving my old at&t unlocked/unbranded phone to my buddy on t-mobile. He doesn't have BIS set up yet, but will next week. I threw his SIM card in and booted up the phone. It properly registered on the t-mobile network and works perfectly fine. But for some reason, the roaming symbol is on (white triangle with blue border). Why would this be? He isn't roaming and is in a strong t-mobile edge area.

I thought the roaming symbol was a red/blue depending if u have data turned off. Triangle with a white on the outside of the triangle.

    Correct me if I'm rong
