I discovered that the keypad and the auto dim feature would not work when I upgraded to the 4.5.0.69 OS. When I reverted back to the old OS everything worked just fine.

When I put 4.5.0.69 back on it the keyboard wold still not light up and the auto dim back light feature would still not work.

RIM said this is because of a faulty device. They sent me a loaner 8310 with the 4.5.0.69 loaded on it and it works just fine. And the call quality is a little better.
I just sent RIM my 8310 to have them fix it and hopefully it will come with the next release when they send it back to me

How odd... I, too, upgraded to .69 the other day but I haven't had any issues (yet). I'm curious about how other people with the .69 OS have fared...

I don't really have much experience with .69 as i just upgraded today, but i haven't had the issues you're refering to. The only problem i've had is not being able to connect with opera mini.

Well - I am having some issues. Here they are:

1. UMA/Bluetooth: cannot utilize my BT while at home on WiFi.

2. VM icon: this will occasionally appear after resets. Although no new voicemail in inbox. Again, this is occasional - not as persistent as with .52.

Just a few, with of course some memory leak. I do have Viigo, but have learned to close this if not in use.

I am looking upgrade to the next best - or just downgrade to the official .55.

It's been a while but I believe this isn't fixed until application version .52.

.69 is the most stable out besides Rel_108. I would recommend upgrading if you're comfortable with the process.
