I finally have time to sit down and try to figure out all the cool things my bb can do but I have no idea where to start. So here are some of my questions:
Why unlock a phone?
How can I get movies on it for a midday laugh?
What are the "special" updates that give my bb even more cool powers?

If your BlackBerry has the earlier version of software, upgrading it will add a lot of new features like Video Recording, Voice Notes, HTML Email and support for Streaming Video.

Check your current version with Options / About.

The top two lines are your device model number and the currently installed software. If the software is v4.2xx, you can easily upgrade to v4.5xx and gain the new features.

If you are currently at v4.5xx, you are good. There is little point in upgrading to the minor subversions available.
