Not very familiar with the Curve and wondering if the memory card slot location is under the battery like the Pearl (Odd), I'm about to purchase one and still cannot get proper off-hand info. regarding this. Any enlightenment would really be appreciated. thanks...

Yup! Under the battery and just above the SIM Card...

yes. i have an 8300. but all 83XX series have the sd card slot under the battery.. bad move by rim. but im pretty sure that all new future models will have the slot on the side..
