Just started having a problem today with my ATT 8310. After turn it on and or removing the battery and putting the phone in standby, then taking it out of the holster, the phone locks up. Nothing works.

Now, if I turn it on and keep it out of standby by moving the ball or pushing buttons, the phone stays operations. When it does lock up it cannot even receive calls.

I've uploaded a saved backup to the phone to no avail. Anyone else having this issue? The phone is 1.5 years old so I'm due for an upgrade.

Should I wipe it clean and reload the OS?

    Thanks for the help.

Check your File Free memory, Options > Status.

You should be above 12 XXX XXX for smooth operation.

I think I had 113XXXXX. I'll try deleting some things. However, the phone worked fine prior to today and I have not added anything. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

Hold the Alt key and type lglg (L's) then press Menu, select Delete.

Also use the Increase File Free Memory link in my sig.

No go. I tried alt lglg and cleared the log. Free memory is at 199XXXXX.

Might be time to wipe the BB with JL Commander then reload the OS.
