i got a used curve 8310 from my sister and id like to use it as a back up for my iphone, however it has an issue that id need to fix.
When it's plugged in the phone works just fine and the battery indicator shows that the battery is charged. when i unplug it, the phone dies within 5 minutes of use even though the battery indicator still shows a full charge.
Any ideas?
Will replacing the battery solve my issue?

If the phone hadn't been used in a while before your sister gave it to you, you might try cleaning the battery contacts with a rubber pencil eraser. If that doesn't solve the problem, then try a new battery. The battery may have lost its ability to hold a charge.
