What kind of mods are talking about?

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what a mod is but just wanted to use my desktop and blackberry manager to edit my contacts on the 8310. Any ideas?

There is a free progrgram called ABC Amber that will allow you to edit your backup (.ipd) file. You can also perform an ASCII export from the Sync portion of your Desktop Manager. This will create a .csv file on your desktop which is directly editable with Excel.
