I used to have an 8300 when I was with ATT about 2 weeks ago. The battery life was so impressive. I could go days without charging it! I just switched over to Verizon and I'm currently using the Storm. I find myself charging the storm about 2 times a day. I am considering swapping the storm out for the 8330 but I read something that kind of alarms me. I read that the 8300 rates about 8.5 hours talk time, the Storm rates 7 hours, and the 8330 rates 5 hours.

My question is this; If I swap out the Storm for the 8330, am I going to be dealing with the same battery issues? Could the 8330 battery be even worse than the Storms?

According to Blackberry.com the 83xx get "up to 4 hours" talk time. 8330 gets 20 mins more.

    Storm Talk time: 6 hours

The Storm comes with a 1400mAhr battery and I think the 83xx comes with 1000mAhr. You can get an extended 1800 - 2400mA battery for it.

CDMA phones are naturally harder on batteries than GSM phones, so it's to be expected that in practice the 8300 would have a longer battery life than the 8330.

I had the Storm and switched to the Curve on Verizon. I would HAVE to charge the Storm every day, sometimes before the day was over. The Curve battery is sooooo much better. I can literally go days without charging and with heavy use. I am much happier with the Curve.

on some sites the 8330 is to have about four hours of talk time, but a couple of sites tested it as 7 hours of talk time. I have yet to test minz but i usually charge my 8330 every two days, thats with some talking texting and videos. plus theres a 2600mAhr battery for it that increases it by 140%

I charge my 8330 every other day with decent talking and texting. If I use my phone a lot hough (I.e. Web browsing and lots of calls) I will have to sharge it nightly

I too had the Storm and switched to the Curve. With the Storm I was charging it each night and the Curve I only have to charge it twice a week. I'm much happier with the Curve.

After a day of use of my 8330, the battery is about 65% so I recharge every other day in the evening. I do have the seidio extra capacity battery but the one that fits the device without needing the extended back.
