Hey guys,

First of all, love this forum. Have been lurking for a while.

Ok, I have an 8300 and an 8310 here, both doing the same thing.
They will not switch on, when i plug them into a charger i get a white screen with the battery and a red line through it.

The computer recognizes them both. I have tried other batteries, same thing..

The only answers i am finding for this fault is the usual soft reset. Or try other batteries and chargers, i have done all this.

Appreciate any help.

The problem is that its usually a sign that you are charging the phone but there is no battery...
I don't know what could be wrong...
Especially because its with both...

I've just realised that this happens when i insert the battery too. I get a solid red light then this on the screen

I had the same problem I tried all sorts of suggested fixes, even dropping it. I finally pulled the battery and used a Qtip and alcohol and cleaned the contacts on the battery and the phone, waited till everything dried, put the battery in and presto problem solved.
