I just purchased a SanDisk Micro SD 8 gb card for my blackberry 8330. Everytime I put the card in I get the "card has not been formated" error msg. So I try to go and format the card, but my phone just locks up. I mean it locks up to the point that I have to remove the battery to make it stop! I also tried to put the card into my PC via an adapter, couldn't format the card on my PC either. Do you think my card is defective or am I missing something? Please help!

if you can't format the card on your berry or your computer, id say its defective...

Do you have the update to the 4.5 OS cause untill you get that you BB wont hold past 3.6 I went through the same thing.

If you are running xp, you will need sp3 installed or update kb923293 in order to see the 8gb
When I got an 8gb card, I d/l the update, then formatted on pc, then installed in 8330
