hi everyone! some friends tell me that RIM its working on a 5.0os FOr 83XX but it wouldn't be fantastic but it would be 5.0... so i want to know if it is true?

My 8330 came out of the box with 5.0 installed, tho I am debating going down to 4.5 to gain some flash memory....

You're friends are full of it RIM has pretty much moved on from development of any OS less than 6 now. 5 is still being maintained but its not going to come to any new devices and additional features won't be coming either. A couple years ago there were builds of 5.0 for the 8310, but they were pretty much unusable.

It was never developed for the 8310, and if it was it was never released.
