i'd like more than 20 phone calls in the phone log....when i go to erase my messages, all the emails and incoming and outgoing phone calls get erased..

is there a 3rd party application for more than 20 phone calls in a log and maybe a way not to erase them?

you can first turn off the call logging so that your calls do not get logged in your message folder (this way when you delete your message folder you will not also delete your calls):

phone (press green call button once)
menu
options
call logging
NONE



then to view your actual Call Log:

messages
menu
view folder
phone call logs and missed calls

sure. i have the Call Log icon hidden because it's not really the "actual" call log. i wish that that icon would take us directly to messages-call log.


you can also:

messages
alt p

that will take you into the call log too, with one less step.

Cool...more good info...I wonder if there is a way to create a folder that would take you straight there?

I hide my Call Log icon too, but that's because I found out the SPACE bar will take you the fake call log. So does the Call button, but sometimes it would just go straight into redailing the last person I called so I stopped doing that.
