Jack, you'd do well to know some background on the people you're talking to. DH knows quite a lot on this subject, and is very talented at actually creating these mock-ups. Now, May I suggest a thank you to DH for trying to share some wisdom with you?

I totally support. Just too broad. Should be termed a phablet or something.

This phone should come with a stylus. The screen is perfect for it.

It's HUGE! The Z30 looks like an iPhone beside it in terms of size.

Thing is with these BlackBerry leaks. It's always pretty damn close. With the exception of one small thing that's probably what it'll look like. Looks be damned anyway. It's huge and ugly regardless. Fail

Faked. Look at the shadows cast off the ends of the phones.

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean...

It is a plexiglass mockup I made to see how it could actually feel in my hands (or next to my Z30/9780 -good eye, DH-).
Keyboard is white because I ran out of matt black paint, but it kinda looks different in white, isn't it? (although IDK how it would age)
The screen is a 4.5" 1:1, so proportions must be near the actual device. (3.3x5.2 " or 133x84mm)
    What I found is:
    - it's not that huge, pics are a bit misleading
    - keyboard is too low, place it a bit higher by adding more height to the device and it will be really confortable to type with two hands.
    - I don't think I could swipe to unlock it with one hand. A stylus may be a good idea

Whatever the actual picture is, I found it much more attractive than the previous "leak" (or whatever you want to name it). I'd really consider it as a buy (I mean the real model/kb, not this concept).

As Bor Navas said, IMHO - on both - the keyboard is too low (something I even feel with my Q10). Besides the weight balance, shall we see a charging port at the bottom, the cable position advantage when charging and typing would vanish instantly.

You're right. If these mockup proportions are even close to accurate, the phone will be silly. The Z30 is already too big to be taken seriously in a business setting, IMO. Thanks to the guy who built the mockup.

Interesting note above about the keyboard being too low. The more realistic Q30 leak had the keyboard even lower! I don't know what to think about this thing now. Seems like a misstep, but an exciting one that I want to get my hands on. Still, looks like it'll be the Q20 for me.

Thanks for clearing this up. Thread title can be changed again. This is a personally made mock-up. Not a prototype, or leak.

There is at least one former BB employee who has seen and held the device and said the looks are fine. I find it odd that folks are so concerned with the looks of their phone then they cover up the phone with a hideous case .

Windermere is expected to be released this year and will run OS 10.3 operating systems. At the macro level like this, we see Windermere is 'not so bad'

What do you think about Q30 ????

If it is q30 then why it is having camera picture remember app of 10.2.1... I have heard they are testing q30 for 10.3 from start

I would recommend reading over previous comments. This is NOT a real device. Someone made this out of their own interests, and does in no way reflect BlackBerry's official design.

To clarify: This is NOT a Real Device. It is a fake, dummy, toy, homemade, and while I appreciate the efforts the designer went to to provide this mock-up, it should not be taken seriously, nor called "official" or "leaked"

Oh, sir, no ... you really should try it as much as I challenge it every day for my job (IT/dev/webmastering). It's only when you've used it enough you realize how a 4" screen is small ...

Very nice mockup. Props to the designer, showing it next to the z30 and 9700/9780 really gives a feeling of what the proportions of this beast may be like. Personally love the rounded edges, really curious what the final design may look like, as i don't believe what we've seen thus far is going to be the final design. Screen size is too good to be true.

    Keep em comin' !
