Black and White rounded Q30 renderings, i only used 3 rows for the keyboard, the spacebar is embed at the bottom of the device and doesn't have borders, under the plastic surface is a mechanical button just like the standard BB keyboard but with the ability to detect electric conductors such as your fingers.

Can't find a functional way to run that rumoured 3 rows keyboard... is it really going to have only 3 rows of keys?

It surely looks ugly... but 1440x1440 is too hard to pass lol

Can't wait to redesign my app interface for this resolution - http://forums.crackberry.com/app-ann...nt-inc-819793/

I think a curved keyboard on the 9900 is a lot better then straight ones on the q10. Don't know why they scrapped it??

    Very interesting pictures, actually.

Note that the spacebar is MUCH different from what we saw on the first prototypes. This looks at least somewhat more usable. Remember as well that there's the chance that this keyboard is touch-sensitive and swipeable, which would make it unique. It's not completely impossible that the keyboard could act as a massive touchpad.

This is an interesting handset. I'm not likely to spring for it myself, as I'm waiting for the new full-touch hero phone, but I think they're doing something new, different, and distinctive. I'm intrigued.

This keeps everyone guessing its starting to build some thought as to what exactly it does and how it does it. You don't build a device like this unless it offers something different. Which is what it does. The keyboard will be awesome and yes it will be easy to use but the speculation keeps conversation moving and that brings new customers so different and maybe a bit odd yes but building speculation is a good thing. I think we are all in for a surprise.

Looks decent actually. However, how do we swipe up? There isn't enough bottom bezel...

Disappointing aesthetically to be honest, imho. I really think BlackBerry has hit the right tune in design with the Z30. The straight cuts and sharp edges has never been apart of the BlackBerry design language apart from the seldom owned Porsche Designs. I find they make the device look unfinished and cheaper. Evidently I'm not to high on the Z3 design either. If it sells though, it's all that matters for now.

where should i put the key assigned to "0" and the spacebar, i don't think it's wise to place it between any letters. Any ideas?

I see 4 rows as usual like any other BB10 smartphone.

BTW why should the Space key be wider than the rest when even Enter is regular sized ?

The space bar will be smaller and it will be placed between the V and the B

I also like the curved 9900 style keyboard and think that there should be a trackpad of some sort.

Theres gotta be more than just that. BlackBerry is the expert on phones with keyboards, why settle for something less then that??

just a question.. the capacitive touch keyboard that will be implemented on the Q30 works the same way the "click wheel" on the ipod right?

My guess is it would just pick up swipe motions from the keyboard, and there wouldn't be a press, that is what the keys are for. As to how this would work if you don't pick up your fingers, I don't know. Though I haven't had the pleasure of using a BlackBerry physical keyboard.

I am not so sure that it is necessarily the actual keys that are touch sensitive, but possibly rather the frets between them, "cut" into touch areas that line up with the keys.
