The BlackBerry of my "dreams" would be something like the wonderfull Q10 with no spaces on top and bottom. In order to have a bigger boarderless screen. On Android (cause now...), with removable battery, and tactil keyboard to scroll (like the Priv).
Maybe the same kind of modifications on a Classic would be great too !

    What would be yours ?

There was a whole website page dedicated for this concept with pictures of the phone which looked really hot, ergonomical, functional and comfortable, but can't find it now.

Bbadopter says that better ergonomics will result if the keyboard is higher up rather than lower down. I would rather extend the top with little weight up there or have a sliding tray PKB that could rise up if required to text or email.

The bottom chin is extremely important for ergonomics when typing.

@blackberry my bold bold guess is

because the trend goes to media streaming
App formfactors apps handled increasingly over gpu ai

And blackberry cannot afford fancy bs in construction

    ****************
They likely revive a slider derivative

I say unflap the keyboard from backside to frontside
Or tape it wirelessly magnetically. Onthe screen or sth

Best is underside of keys is backside,
Unflap it over the screen lockit magnetically

    Ie thesimpler thebetter
    *****************

Under it u can hide sensitive touchsensors orwhatever

But theyll do a slider likely just that there, is a keyboard not the main feature simply

Iwouldkeep the classic buttons and functionkeys whenthey work

But im not deepthinking onthis its a 1-2am strafed thinking to

-make the keyboard not a sidekick bs but theeequality feature
    -without adding complications in engineering
-onthe axiom of streaming 5g with
-gpu based ai app steering and their gpu powerful appformfactors

Isthere ever a trend towards smallerscreens then? (doubtful)

    Ah bytheway-

    -youget abitmore batter thickness
Something forgivable but 5g soaks batteries when ai manages it badly evenmoreso

We all know it won't happen, but if it did.....Smiley PKB, removable battery and form factor that can be put in a pocket (about the size of a PD9983 or Q).

The Key2 Silver is basically the perfect looking BlackBerry IMO, minus the ridiculous NAV buttons and huge bezels.

if they could bring that design with top specs, no shoddy hardware (space bar), ditch the garbage BB Android suite, use stock Android, it would be the perfect device.

If that screen would be AMOLED and we could also get an IP rating and wireless charging, it would be the perfect successor.

If all goes towards media streaming- the isp s know- then this has implications on screenbrightness as well
As the network streaming uninterrupted highquality
Fast with as least batteryrequirements aspossible

    Itisntjust scrensize
    Ithink thisis pretty specific already

    5g streaming withallits implications

But thereis sthelse. GPU based Ai like tensorflow derivatives steering apps and (!)security and notjust batteryconsumption or cpu core details memory access details

    these are my
    W
    I
    L
    D
    L
    Y
    Bold guesses

5g streaming (w all implic.) x gpu ai app handling (w all implic)

Inallofthis thecustomers want their actual beloved apps, clouds, messengers, mailservers, all as actual quicker uncomplicated nomatterhow but swift

This, I like... but without the keyboard, same bezel size at the bottom as the top (buffer space below the vkb), but put the BlackBerry name at the bottom with the mouthpiece that doubles as the speaker for stereo with the top speaker. And, I want a regular IPS led screen. After the burn-in I started getting on my S8 before it dropped and broke, and the really bad burn-in my son got on his S8, I've become (even though we both updated to S9s) very leary of AMOLED.

As for water resistance or even fingerprint scanners, I couldn't care less. Save some cost that way.
