Found this concept. Kind of like it. What do you think?

I like it. But wonder if it is realistic to think of it being that thin

Looks nice but imagine the short battery life on a device that thin.

Wow. If they build it with serious specs it's gonna be a glorious BlackBerry.

Didn't they patent a "tray like" keyboard that swung in from behind the device.

Needs space between top row and screen. People with big fingers would have troubles with the top row. I love the idea. Even better if they integrate the track pad like keyboard of the passport

That looks awesome, would prefer a four row keyboard though.

The keyboard would not break off.. the entire screen slides up, so the keyboard is part of the main body.

I really like it, I would love it. Never had a torch, but I think it could strike a nice balance between a z30 and classic form factor.

I hate slider desigs on Blackberry.

It makes the device totally unbalanced which makes typing really hard unlike on a traditional Blackberry.

Looks nice but would be twice as thick as the render to fit the battery. Would love a new slider.

    I'd like:

    1. Toolbelt below touch screen (like on BlackBerry Torch)

    2. Slider keyboard to be proper 4 row keyboard like Bold or classic

    3. Narrower than Passport (between Z10 and Z30)

The only issue I have with this is the weight distribution. With only 3 rows of keys and a massive screen. They will have to do some very clever engineering to make it not feel top heavy.

Nothing wrong with a 4" screen and 4 row keyboard with a thin bezel

I don't see any trouble with the weight. It exists out of 2 parts.

I would love to see this as a full all touch without the keyboard.

I don't understand why everyone seems to think this (or any other slider concept) is just automatically fragile and will break immediately. The Torch was a very solid device that could withstand far more abuse than your average slab phone can, and a new slider would be made with more modern, stronger materials. BlackBerry would not be stupid enough to make a new slider that was ultra fragile for the sake of style or being thin, they build higher quality phones, thickness be damned, and I know I'll be in line for a phone like this.
