    Why?

It's an awkward place for it. Not that I can see a better place for it.

Works fine on my Q10, don't think I've ever heard that complaint before.

Wow, you guyz. Anyway, form factor looks bang on to me. If the 3-row keyboard is worth a damn and the phone looks at all like this, I'll have a tougher time picking the Q20 over this (though there's no way I'll not get the Q20).

OK so here is my thought about the reasoning behind the weird space bar placement that seems to be upsetting people...

After I printed the phone out and faked typed on it lol, the keys are huge! The condensed keyboard doesn't feel bad. Adding a forth row makes for more thumb movement which is a lot more than you would expect on this keyboard. The 3 rows is the same height as 4 rows on say the q10.

I thought they were bringing back the track pad, phone, and back buttons. I don't see them there. Or is those three for a different model ???

I don't think so. Personal opinion. There's a couple there renders that are a little taller that I think look a lot better.

if they are placing the spacebar between letters on this device guess i will have to keep my Q10 for a while.. And since the Classic have the same resolution of the Q10 there's no point buying it.

I am not sure the purpose here of changing the tried and true keyboard. I like the renders that have it going back to the one we know and love.

The big innovation here is would be the touch sensitive keys. That alone is mind-blowing. Swipe gestures on the physical keys. And, if you need to - you might even be able to do SWYPE typing if you had to under certain circumstances. Why f with the keyboard layout. Jeez

Yeah, well BlackBerry can't afford to come out with something so unattractive. Phones are somewhat of a fashion item for many people.

Q30 is the supposed high end qwerty and forr sure will have better specs and build quality than classic.

Obviously will be costlier as well.

This is what I love about this forum. People who are both BlackBerry enthusiasts, but have differing views on what's attractive and how new products should be designed.
