I'm very happy that the quick settings will be accessible from within any app, this is very welcome. But two fingers can be a bit tricky when one handed!

    Here's my solution.
When you're in an app right now you swipe from the top, and the app fades and a single layer menu comes down. What if when in an app, the single layer comes down and below that the quick settings are accessible.

    Like so:

How about reverse it and display the App Settings first and further swiping down displays the Quick Settings? When the Quick Settings are displayed, the App Settings are still displayed at the bottom (one row of Quick Settings is lost). Swipe left on Quick Settings to get the missing row on the next Quick Settings page, like usual.

Or first swipe displays App Settings as usual, then second swipe, while App Settings are displayed, pulls down the Quick Settings? Basically, double swipe.

Like the idea, but I could see myself getting annoyed with the quick settings displaying all the time even when not needed.

I can't think of a specific example off the top of my head but I imagine there may be apps where you need to see most of the screen when the app settings menu is displayed. This would be affected if the app display is covered by quick settings menu.

How about swipe from the right side of the screen to bring QS and swipe from the left side to bring app menu? There just should be a distinction to let user know that its there

Swipe from right/left should be reserved for switching between open apps.
