I think that blackberry needs to stay focused on phones and enterprise software solutions.

The tablet market is way too crowded.

Especially since businesses would / should just buy cheap windows x86 tablets if they want to stay secure and cheap, doing this will allow them leverage their existing Microsoft ad infrastructure and apps, since it's a pc. All the apple shops are just going to buy ipads anyways.

You can get windows x86 tablets for around 500, and not have to get bes or another MDM to manage them. I can't see a bb10 tablet for less than 600, plus the cost of bes and the possibility of incompatible apps.

I think Blend is a better solution for BlackBerry... You can take any tablet and Blend in!
Blackberry won't sell much Tablets and those buying it would immediately complain about it!

Why can't some enterprising app developer make an "OS10" app for the Playbook. I'm sure many of us would pay $10+ for such an app. Once that's done do it for Android tablets.

Afraid it simply isn't going to happen. If the company didn't have the resources to release an updated full screen touch phone alongside the passport and leave a gap in the lineup I can guarantee a new tablet isn't even on the horizon.

Blackberry is all about keyboards, as a recent article says.

They need to release the first tablet with an integrated physical keyboard. ;-)

I really don't want another tablet. I don't want app stores or any of that garbage. I just want a computer with a touch screen I can carry around with ease.

After a few days with the Passport, I personally have no need for a tablet, especially with Blend. I don't see the need for another device. That is just my personal opinion and I am sure others who have not chosen the Passport would still have a place for a BlackBerry tablet in their electronics collection. I just don't think BlackBerry is considering a new tablet anytime in the foreseeable future.

I don't know if it would be a smart idea. the market is already controlled by Apple and Samsung. better to just stay away until they have the cash flow to do so. Tunnel vision!!

As much as I like the PlayBook, I don't think that a new BlackBerry tablet would be a success. There would be almost no the apps for tablet, and I don't want to have android runtime apps as a replacement for native apps.

I'd jump on a BB10 tab like this in a heartbeat. The PB is showing signs of its age, even though it's still my go-to tablet (yes, over a brand new iPad Mini).

Yes I too want a New Passport BB10 tablet but with higher specs, like a Quad-Core 2.0GHz Processor and 2GB of Ram.

Have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. All based on BB10.3.1.
Come 1st week of March 2015, I expect John Chen to show off a new innovative tablet.
