Looks very cool, would be a nice high end option, not Porsche Design prices, but somewhere in between. Nice work

The idea of the keys fading to black when the screen is off is really good.

The rest of the device is quite ugly with the phone being quite thick and boxy with the unnecessary detail on the back and the usb cover that is just one more potential point of mechanical failure on the device.

Incidentally, the radio properties of ceramics would tend to make them unsuited to use in a smartphone's casing as you would just be making things more difficult for your antenna people to meet the standards required by carriers in order for the device to be accepted.

with the phone being quite thick
It's 10mm to be exact and has about the same dimensions as Classic. Not that thick imo.
Incidentally, the radio properties of ceramics
Ceramics is pretty much radio-transparent. That's why titanium version has ceramic inserts on the top and the bottom.

It isn't about being conservative, it's about BlackBerry don't have money to spend this way.

This device looks like a military class BlackBerry.
Looks nice. Though I wouldn't mind a full touch in that style.

My apologies, it is merely boxy and ugly rather than thick in that case.

Interesting concepts. Would be cool if the "gull wings" also held the phone up when it is sideways.
