Here's one I'd like to see. I loved the Blackberry Style and think the flip form factor would make for a great BB10 device. Just sayin'

As an entry level phone it could be an idea, maybe not right now as Mr. Chen struggles to gain Blackberry's popularity back as a "modern" brand... and i'd change the UI a little bit.
For example i'd make the top screen all info and put the contextual bar on a mini screen (with blackberry menu and other options) just upon the tool-belt: you'd gain a lot of space for the screen and make a simple division between top screen= visual informations, and keyboard+toolbelt+other menu and options.
The information zone (top of the phone) vs action zone (keyboard) would be accentuate with the new sensitive keyboard that can act as a trackpad: less interactions directly on the screen makes further sense to dissociate the top and bottom of the phone.
And you could actually have a decent screen size in a halved form factor (for those who can't stand the big phones and would rather have a tiny phone when it's in your pocket in stand-by)
I know some people regretting there's no good up-to-date clamshell phone anymore, don't know if it would be a big seller though... how are the indonesian and eastern market regarding those kind of devices?

Well, if that's the case, then Sherman, set the wayback machine to 2008. When I'm pissed at someone, I don't want to do no sissy swipe to hang up on them. I want to slam it shut! Bring on the flip!

Slamming shut is best but short of being able to slam shut a BlackBerry flip maybe a shake to hang up app. Then when that special person plucks that last nerve, you could grasp your phone tightly with both hands, shake it vigorously, and watch as the screen fades to black and ends the call.

I agree. With a little more modern flare it could work. I was always jealous that the Style was only on Sprint and not on Verizon. Well until I was with friends and they couldn't get a signal and I could. Do it BlackBerry give us a Classic - Style addition but make sure Verizon gets one.

It needs a virtual number/symbol keyboard to pop up and use up half the screen, otherwise it won't work properly with 10.3

Pretty funky but that screen is just way too small for BB10. The Hub would be a joke on that thing. I do like how the external screen acts as the lock screen tho

As a low end device, I say why not. Price it for 150$ and BlackBerry cover up another niche market.

As a high end device, no.

Waahhh, no. I always hated any collapsable devices. The hinge-joint is always the weak point. Forget it.
Well, I'll lay it out, I had the Style, and it wasn't treated delicately, and is still solid and tight after 3 years of usage. They really built it well, as far as the hinge went. The only irritation was a back the loosened over time. It had an outstanding keyboard, and and the screen would have been easy as a touchscreen.

It was terribly underestimated, understated, and by far the most compact of the form factors with very little sacrifice, other than a tad small in the screen and battery. I know a lot of people on other US carriers that wanted one. It was retired as my favorite BB, with the 8330 a close second.

Keyboard was the same width, but taller than the 9700 series. The trackpad also allowed the print and color to stay on the T-Y keys a lot longer than other units.

LOL... I have one friend who was very attached to her Style... who knows?

I see this as more feasible for production than a slider.
Agree! Now that the passport is around there is no need for a slider.
