Currently I'm using both Z30 and Classic.
In terms of looks, to me Classic looks much more Premium, more expensive and more classy than the Z30. The Classic also shout BlackBerry! Where else the Z30 looks like many other phone. That's one of the reasons why I use Classic as my main phone. I wants people to know that I'm using BlackBerry.
Other than the keyboard which is wonderful! I actually prefer using Z30 because of the larger screen. I love surfing Channel and doing that with Classic is actually quite painful... but I prefer Classic's LCD screen which is very bright. The Z30 amoled screen not so nice even at the brightest setting. That's also why I actually missed my Z3. I actually prefer using Z3 than the Z30. Odd I know...
In conclusion, the Classic is my main communication phone while I use the Z30 for everything else...

If you don't care for the keyboard or the trackpad the Z30 is still an excellent device. I own both, and while the classic is perfect for me because of the keyboard, build, and toolbelt, the Z30 was perfect for almost all other cases.
I would suggest you go for the Z30, but the classic is still an excellent choice if you want some keys again.
Just remember one thing, the verizon Z30 still doesn't have OS10.3.1 yet so we're not comparing like for like software wise.

Interesting thread. I also have been using a Z30 for awhile and have been considering more and more the Classic. Battery life I think would be the biggest deciding factor for me. The Z30 can get me through a day with moderate use, so in hoping the Classic would too!

I had a Z30, Passport and now using the Classic. The battery on the Passport was #1. But the Z30 was much better than the Classic. I barley make it through the day without a re charge where the Z30 was no trouble.

Well, the screen is very good point for Z30. It means, you can see almost double number of things of everything like your communication in the Hub, minimized screens, more apps without scrolling in dashboard.
For typing, I typed faster in the Z but less accurately than Classic which I enjoy it.
Z has better battery life.

I have had all! I currently have a Z30 and a Classic. The Z30 is like having an SUV. It's got the larger screen and it just feels good! The Classic is like a Corvette! The screen is smaller and it fits your hands and you can go faster when you are typing!

I've had both, and I like the Classic more because of the keyboard. I don't watch videos on my phone. They serve very different purposes and will hinge entirely on whether you want the PKB again.

I think if you're a heavy media addict, then go for android or iPhone...I also own a z30 but I feel it's a bit weird

I moved from the iphone to the z10 back in 2013. Last year I was thinking of upgrading to the z30 but the the Passport was launched and I chose the Passport instead.
I had never used a physical keyboard before and I wasn't sure about the form factor but I haven't regretted the decision for a minute. I absolutely love the Passport and whenever I use the z10 for anything I wonder how I got by without the Passport. I love the screen size to read docs or watch video clips.
Although the blue Classic looks great and if I had spare money lying around I might consider the classic as a 2nd device.
I really think people should give the Passport a go!

Had all bb10 devices and my daily driver is the classic, it's built great, has bright screen, performance is no different than any other than passport (s801 quad core cpu) the keyboard is flawless and app support works for me. To each is own, but if you love keyboard, save the cash and buy the classic, you won't be dissapointed. The passport was not practical for me as I found too cumbersome removing from pockets to check messages, the q10 was missing the "belt", the z10 had horrible battery life, the q5 felt cheap, the z30 was missing the golden feature in all BlackBerry devices...the physical keyboard. Hope my insight helps
